Telb = not guilty

Even though he was found not guilty, Telb should take this as a sign that it is time for new blood in the Sheriff's Dept. and resign. He obviously won't do it, but hopefully he will at least have the grace to not run for re-election. Anyone know when his term is up?

Now, I wonder which person, who also wears a uniform, or recently wore one---would like to make more than $16.00 an hour? I bet Telb does run for re-election, against a person who also had problems doing a warden-type job. It might be a good match-up! Actually, they would be a big draw in professional wrestling---The Sheriff of Nottingham vs. The Stone Pincher.

Anybody want to take a guess how much Telb and the other defendents, each paid out to attorneys, for their defense ?

My guess is that each defendant paid at least $35K and possibly a lot more.

Hitler was "new blood" for 1930's Germany. Sometimes "new blood" can be quite virulent.

Alright! It only took four posts for someone to make an inane reference to Hitler. Well done, team!

Erm, I guess. By that standard we should never replace public officials because their successor might be a mass murdering psychopath. Godwin's Law in full effect.

Telb is a fraud. Taxpayers paid the lawyers.

Hank, perhaps I did resort to Godwin's Law, but I am not one of those who feel that "new blood" is always the answer to all societal ills. The sheriff was found not guilty. Perhaps the rule of law is at fault.

If only we had a benevolent despot to rule over us. One who would always make decisions based on his superior knowledge of how the world works. Then we would not have the mistakes that come about from the jury system, or a judge who follows case law.

Instead we have sheriff who was found "not guilty" and may run again because he feels he would garner a majority of votes under our flawed system of majority rule. What a bitch that is.

In the past elders were valued. Perhaps in the future we can do away with them and let "new blood" lead us with their superior insight into the human condition based on their years of experience.

REELECT EVERYON IN TOLEDO!

Someone else could be Hitler.

I for one was quite surprised by the not guilty verdicts. I have my doubts with the Lucas County sheriff dept, which is based on numerous issues, some big, some small.
