Dancing Bacon Statues

Can someone tell me what this statue is or the story behind it?

I mean, this looks like a memorial statue to dancing bacon in sombreros. That can't be right. I know Toledo is strange, but dancing bacon in sombreros? I just... I don't even know. Please TT, tell me there is a normal explanation for the dancing bacon.

A couple years ago someone put a ton of soap into the fountain. There was foam EVERYWHERE...even out onto the streets!

Foamy bacon... That doesn't sound healthy at all.

The Blade article is from 2008 and says I think it cost 25k. Wonder if we could sell it to cover the cost of another police officer or fireman.

Looks like dancin' churros to me.
(Churros, sometimes referred to as a Spanish doughnut, are fried-dough pastry-based snacks)

I don't even think the Chinese would be interested in that.
