Looks like a great event! We could make a day trip if anyone has suggestions about restaurants in the area ... for lunch on a Sunday.
The gardens are spectacular - how nice to get free admission for this event!
this event is worth visiting the Gardens for free - sure it is early spring and the gardens are not in full bloom but they really are nice.
As for food - go to the downtown, there is a little 'home town' dinner that serves local fish and has a variety of specials. We eat there every time we go to the Gardens...I cant recall the name.

I'd never heard of the gardens before - they look beautiful. (I'm not an Ohio native, so many of the hidden gems in outlying areas are new to me.)
Mom2 - I suggest coming to this event. The gardens normally are $10 to visit, this is a chance to check them out for free :)

Quaint coffee shop in downtown Elmore: the Red, White & Brew is open Sundays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Likewise the Village Inn restaurant is open 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sundays. Both are on Rice Street in the old-fashioned downtown. There's a riverside park, also.
The Village Inn is the place I was referring to. Good food, and the hours cold not be better for the Sunday event at the gardens.
