Anyone having problems with the new meters Col. Gas has installed on the outside of your home. For 2 winter now the one at my house has stopped working and the Gas. Co. replaced it. Of course there was no way to measure the amt. of gas used, so it was estimated. What a joke!

We did have an installation problem intially that cost us quite a bit of money unecessarily. The new meter was not properly installed and it leaked. When the Columbia Gas crew came around to turn the gas back on and relight our pilot lights they said we had a leak in the house. They wouldn't turn on the gas. We had to call a contractor on an emergency basis to locate and fix the leak. After a thorough house check the contractor found the leak - at the meter!!! It cost us $175.00 for nothing. There arent words to describe how angry I was that day. Of course Columbia Gas took no responsibility for the bill.
