Where in south Toledo?

Same strip that Shawns is at, Eastgate and Heatherdowns. Not open yet, said early May sometime. I THINK it may have been Mustard Seed before this.
The items on the menu look fantastic...but I'm not sure about the olive oil roasted sardines.
Would love to try the roasted marrow bones. Hubby got a book by a guy who decided to eat 30 different meats in 30 days and roasted marrow bones was one of the items...sounded really scrumptious.
Also think the surf & turf would be fun to try.
thanks for sharing!

I love sardines, so those are on my list. Every app looks good to me. I prefer those over meals anyway. Hope the place is as good as it looks!
I know the guy that's opening it. very cool people. you are right, it is the former matthew's mustard seed location. looking forward to trying this place out when i get my cholesterol down!
Yeah, the menu looks good but I wonder about shelling out $14 for a burger and fries. Might be a little pricey for the lunch crowd. But for the occasional splurge, why not?
The appetizer menu is genius. I would like to meet whoever came up with that. Pork belly and roasted marrow in Toledo? Avocado shake? EXCITED!

The people that own Lascola Italian Grill are opening this correct? Should be great!

Yum! Happy to find a reason not to drive north for a good meal. ;-)
molson, people from lascola as well as the previous head chef of navy bistro.
Can't wait for this place to open up. I've always wanted to try roasted marrow

Looks excellent! Can't wait to have the pate burger!!
Roasted marrow? Not sure I could bring myself to try that. The marinated olives sound interesting though.
It does intrigue me that they are using fresh, locally ground beef for the burgers. I'd give them a try just for that reason alone.
I have had roasted marrow at Revolver and it's amazing. This place looks great. Upso...will they have beer?
no idea! i sure hope so! :)
as for marrow? .... yummmmmmmmmmmm
Well I notice that their menu had a "mojito - virgin or not." SO that leads me to assume that there will be alcohol.
I'm excited for this place; the menu looks fantastic.
Obviously modeled after the Burger Bars in Vegas, which are great. I'm looking forward to it's opening. And yes, marrow is terrific. Had some at Michael Symon's Roast in Detroit.
Sounds good but pretty pricey for a burger...$9? By the time you add fries and a drink your talking $17 for one person at least. For value and a damn good burger thats somewhat stripped down from this menu oh and a ridiculous ridiculous amount of fries go with 5 Guys Burgers and Fries. Great burgers and fries...my wife and I shared a small (can't imagine the large) fry with our burgers and couldn't finish the fries. They are great value and like a said great food.

I forgot to mention...I think our total what about $17 for my bacon burger, she got the smaller cheese burger, 1 fry and 2 drinks...now thats value!

5 Guys is good, but this is a bit above and beyond. Its a bar with some friggin awesome apps that Toledo has never seen. Its not always about whats cheapest. And 9 bucks for a gourmet burger is not bad at all. Get one of those and an exotic side and its 14 dollars. You get hit with that at many many chains that are sub par.
5 Guys is great for fast casual type food. However the ingredients this place is likely to use (just judging from the burger toppings) are a cut above. Frankly I was going to say the prices seemed a bit low.

The only negative thing I can say about the menu is that I don't know WTF quinois is -- and it doesn't exist.
Quinoa maybe?
Upso-I believe the Chef from Navy Bistro is actually involved in the new Burger place on Monroe in the former Vineyard-Yes, there will be another upscale burger place opening across town
really? are you sure about that? i knew the other burger place was opening on monroe but from my understanding the old navy chef (and a guy from la scalla) are doing the 419 place.
Moussa Salloukh is the principle person behind the new place. Could the former chef from NB be Creighton ?? don't know if he is still in T-Town
Moussa & the NB chef are definitely the ones going into the old mustard seed in South Toledo. I'm not sure who is responsible for the new place on Monroe but I look forward to checking both of them out!
Finally made it a few weeks ago. EVERYBODY loved their burgers. I got the pork belly and it was enough for a meal. The place is nicely tricked out and our waitress was the sweetest thing ever. That is definitely know on my "go to" places when nobody can decide where to go.
I caught their commercial on TV last night. Very well produced. My oldest son is begging me to go. :)
