Kitty Post

Has anyone tried the scratch posts that are advertised to trim your Cat's claws as they use it?
Its made of an abrasive coated cardboard type material. I'm thinking of buying one but theyre 20.00. Thats an expensive risk for such a thing if it doesnt work.
Your thoughts?

I have no, but I have a cat condo instead that does the trick and is more fun for my cats. I got my little 2 story cat condo from the Anderson's for only $25. The condo has 2 little cubby holes that my cats sleep in, and is perfect for all their scratching needs. I have had it well over a year and its going strong still. It's covered in carpet, and so far has not been a shedding problem (I have hardwood floors, I notice when things shed).
