I got this from a friend of mine who got it from a friend. I'm getting more contact detail as soon as the friend gets home, but I wanted to start the process asap. Owner is dying and wants to rehome 2 ladies before he goes....
"Both cats are 12 years old, fixed, front paws declawed. They get along well with each other and dogs. They do not like other cats. Ideally, I would like to see them together so they have companionship. I've had them since they were 6 weeks old. It's hard to condense 12 years into a few sentences
Gabby Marie has been with me longer than any of the other pets. She is a 'sylvester' cat- black with white paws and belly. She is very friendly, loves to cuddle and snuggle. Her purrs often lull me to sleep. She has a voracious appetite and will eat cat, dog, and people food. She's just as happy batting the ring from a gallon of milk as an expensive cat toy. Skip the catnip with her, she doesn't care for it. She's the one who taught me I could love, is the best thing I can say about her.
Prudence Louise is a tortoisey calico with a plumed tail nearly as long as her. She's a bit more aloof than Gabby. She usually only wants attention after dark, but will definitely let you know when she wants it. She is a bit more picky about food than Gabby. She will only eat canned food, an occassional treat, but turns into Whitney when you put the catnip in front of her. She does like to attack house plants.
The last 12 years have been a pleasure with them. Rehoming my pets has been harder on me than my terminal diagnosis. I want what's best for them. I really would prefer to see them go to a home. I doubt that they would do well in a shelter with other cats around and they would be put down. That thought is tearing me up. Once I know they have a home, I can relax, and continue my journey to pure spirit.
Thanks so much for your help."
