Dante is missing. Mom has concluded that he slipped out unnoticed and he refuses to come back home. Not that I'm holding out a lot of hope here, but if anyone finds him we'd all be grateful. The facts:
He was last seen in the area of Flanders Road just South of the Michigan State line. The nearest intersection would be Flanders and Indian Ridge.
He is a neutered male with all his claws intact.
He has a full complement of jungle skills. He was living off game he could catch when I adopted him in Florida, and he enjoys the out of doors. He'd often disappear for a few days at a time in Florida, although he hasn't done so since he moved to Sylvania.
He's a bit cautious about making friends with strangers. Fear keeps you alive, you see.
He is carrying a chip under his hide.
If anyone finds him, please send me some email and I'll be around to collect the little varmint as soon as possible.
You don't say what he looks like and what is his name? Does he have a collar with any ID? I bet he will show up....fingers crossed!
Duh sorry...I didn't see the picture...
Keep your hopes up. A couple of our house cats ran the wild side, but always came back.
I pass there and I'll keep an eye out.
Told you not to switch to that new cat food.
Just in case, you might want to make some of the local animal groups that accept cats aware that you're looking for Dante.
(On the off chance that he allowed himself to be captured by a kind hearted soul who would try to get him to a shelter.)
What a beautiful cat! I hope he's home soon. Maybe put up signs on telephone poles or in any convenience stores in the area and offer a reward ... I've read that when dogs get loose, they travel, but when cats get loose, they often stay close to home.
Good luck.
What a sweet cat. Looks like mine. Hope you find him. I know a couple of people out that way and will let them know, in case they see him. Good luck.
What info is held in the chip? Shouldn't this be a matter of a shelter getting the cat and FEDEXing back to you? Unless he gets eaten...
Microchips are only good if someone decides to scan a loose dog or cat for one, and if the owner has actually registered their contact information with the chip manufacturer.
Which reminds me ... I've seen quite a few loose dogs in my neighborhood over the past month. They're all wearing collars but no tags! People, put tags on your pets, please! I certainly don't have a chip scanner at my house, but I have a cell phone on which I can call you.

Funny you should ask, tm2. Guess who's back?
My thanks to all of you for your kind comments and good suggestions.
Great news, madjack. He looks happy to be home.
Very glad to hear madjack :)
