From Tom Waniewski's June newsletter:
"I've been told the old Foodtown in the DeVeaux Village Shopping Center could be sold soon. In the interest of confidentiality with the Realtors, I can't say who the prospective buyers are. I know residents have expressed concern about the lawn in the area, so that will be addressed after closing. I'll keep you posted."
Anybody hear anything in the rumor mill?? Would love to see this area up and running again!
Horizon is going in there - some sort of school. There is a sign on the building about it.
I was told that Horizon was moving into this space. I am to receive blueprints for the remodeling project.
in the interest of confidentiality wouldn't it have been better to shut your big yap and not discussed it at all - i hate it when people kind of brag and reveal they have info that is not suitable for plebs to have
There is a big-ass banner on the side of the building telling who is moving in along with an artists rendering. In the interest of confidentiality, maybe you, enjoyeverysandwich, should go remove that banner. Doesn't seem very confidential to me.
Geezus sandwich, who pissed in your Corn Flakes this morning? If Hoops didn't sign a legally-binding confidentiality contract, then he can tell whomever he wants.
Sorry Enjoy. I meant Waniewski. I don't know what I was thinking.
I was at the bank yesterday and didn't notice the banner! Of course, I don't normally drive that close to the building.
Thanks for the info!
Also, it doesn't seem like "bragging" to me that Hoops is going to see the blueprints. Just stated a fact.
Hope you get the job, Hoops!
hoops - my apologies; i referring strictly to tom - sorry for the ambiguity. at the time i commented it had not been discussed that there was a sign up on the side of the building either... in which case i apaologize to tom as well. it appeared from the original info that a pol had revealed info prematurely... something that happens too regularly!
Ok, sandwich. I apologize for the snark now that it's cleared up. I thought the hostility seemed kind of misplaced, that explains it :)
i was also attempting to channel chris farley - the character who lived in a van down by the river - he used that line "i wished just shut your yap" to the phil hartman character
It's all good. Surprised it has taken this long to get the project started.
