Had a wonderful lunch today at Grumpy's! Half a Garbage Salad and the most delicious banana cream pie ever made. I am so full I may never eat again.

Grumpys has been on the hit list for a long, long time....if you have weekend hours.
i have been wanting to try grumpy's for a while, i just put a reminder on my phone for lunch time tomorrow.
Sorry Bruno, no weekends for the time being, but we're close to getting our liquor license so hopefully something in the evenings before too long.

A friend of mine who works at OI got so addicted to the garbage salad when working downtown she still drives from PBurg to pick one up. Or sends someone, lol. To me Grumpys is the epitome of how to run a place. Its successful, yet is only open a certain amount of hours, tucked away downtown and has almost zero marketing. Obviously they be doing it right. (i want two damn cookies for that one :))

I was in Grumpy's last week for lunch. Never been before. I had a Sally's salad (I think that's what it's called), it comes with goat cheese and cranberries. It was delicious! I definitely want to come back and say hi to Upso next time.
The food is really wonderful at Grumpy's, and the atmosphere is great too!
i just had a great ruben, the corned beef is out of this world. looking forward to my next meal there already!

Seems like a lot of us like the place maybe the next TT meet-and-greet could be there :)

as for a TT meet & greet, only problem is it gets so busy at lunch we'd either need to know a solid head count in advance or do something during the breakfast hours.

I got my free cookies yesterday. Garbage salad and burger were very good. My daughter had clam chowder and she liked it. It was busy at 2PM.
Extended hours are going to be great for this location. Being able to sell beer is frosting on the cake. The only change I would consider is being to get breakfast stuff after 10:30AM. Who's even out of bed by then?

We actually serve breakfast till 11, but I know what you mean. Most of our customers work downtown so they're up early enough to check out our morning menu. We'd do it all day, but it requires a different set up in the kitchen than our lunch.
so if i get there around 10:50 i can still order the corned beef hash?
One time recently I was talking with someone on another forum (international audience) and turns out the guy was from Toledo originally. Honest to goodness, he mentioned going to Grumpy's every time he comes home to visit family.
