Google+

I'm done with these social networks. Toledo Talk is the only one worth anything.

+ is great
i'm still visiting FB since most of my friends havent made it over yet
but every time i visit + there seems to be more content. i have high hopes for it

G+ makes it much easier than Facebook to direct your posts ONLY to those to whom you want to communicate.

Like upso wrote, I still use Facebook because more people are there, right now.

I created a Google + account, but I have yet to do anything with it accept add a few friends via requests. Like the others above, most of my social and professional networks utilize Facebook, so until (or if) Google + becomes dominant, I will invest what little time I have for social network sites in Facebook.

I have one and love it. Definitely superior to Facebook.

I have it and enjoy it.

Pros: A lot like facebook in format. So has a lot of the structure and layout that I like about facebook.

Also clean, doesn't have all the crap that seems to fill up facebook.

Cons: still beta, only 1 real friend on it. So while the rest of my friends and family who are out of state are still on FB I'll keep my account there as well.

I think in the end FB didn't learn from Myspace's pitfalls. Don't fix what isn't broke. They keep adding features or things that people don't seem to want.

I love it. My son is actively pushing for all of the family to get on it, since we can video chat with multiple people using a Hangout. I keep pushing invitations on Facebook and I've had a fair amount partake, but I really think that my less tech-savvy friends won't see the usefulness of it for quite some time.

In a blog I read regularly, the author was trying to downplay the convenience of the Circles in G+, by giving step-by-step instructions on how to create lists in Facebook. Great information, but it's still so much easier on G+.

I love G+, as long as they keep the stupid games (and the posts that come with them) out, it has a great chance to do more than Facebook.

What I like is being able to put a users in multiple circles.

Example: I have a "friends" circle for people who are close pals. I also have a "toledo" circle that includes many of my "friends" and then people I have met in Toledo that are interesting and post good local information. I may want to share something with friends but not ALL of Toledo... I can do that easily with G+.

Waughkev: agreed that news feeds on FB can get clogged with idiotic games updates and game requests. I am in the habit of blocking every app that comes along, but eventually I had to block a few FB friends from the news feed because of their seeming inability to play EVERY game that comes along.

Personally, I have no time for any Web-based or video games, let alone the brainless time-suckers Facebook offers.

Regarding the games, pretty much everyone I've talked to is in agreement that if G+ wants to draw Facebook users away, they'll have to bring in the games. However, I read something yesterday about a link that was accidentally released to the public, to a Game Stream. I suspect that they'll set it up so that those who want to play the games will have a separate stream just for it, while the rest of us can happily avoid having to see them at all. Ever.

I'll admit to having played Cow Clicker on Facebook, but mostly because my son asked. And I'm also a sucker for bad puns. :)

I find Google+ to be far superior to Facebook. I like the fact that I can share posts with only certain people.

i just mute or delete my friends on FB that play games all day. i would do the same on +!

With my friends and colleagues it's quite the opposite.

Toledo_len, this is only one of the sites that's been talking about games on G+. Google pulled the info from the help file, but not before someone took a screen shot.

I have a difficult time believing that they won't cater to the game players somehow. The more people using G+, the more advertisers Google can pull in.

I didn't claim they wont bring games into the mix... I'm said it's not a popular idea in my circles.

Oh, it's not popular in mine either! :) But if they manage to keep it out of the mainstream and not make every game something that you have to opt out of (like on FB), I don't really care.
