Once the old Beverly is empty, it say's TPS is going to demo the old building. Does anyone know what they are going to do with the land once emptied?

Weeds since Ohio's going to make it legal and dumb down the remainder of the population.
A convenient dumping ground for bodies.

It's time we had one of those German Chinese restaurants -- you eat there, and 2 hours later you're hungry for power

A park? Why wouldn't they try and sell the land to building homes? I know Maumee did that with their old fire station land.. sold 2 or so lots...
Who is going to be responsible for purchasing the payground equipment and mowing the lawns? The CitY? Seems like they could try and sell the plots to build homes... more tax revenue for city and schools than a Park.
Uh jim...
1)people are trying to leave the City of Toledo not move in.
2)Maumee's school system is much better.
3)The lots you reference only have one home on them and it is still for sale.
No offense - I just can't see a developer wanting to invest there.

Except for the fact that if a home is built there, the homebuyer gets a 15-year tax abatement on the home!
Seriously, it would be a great place to build. Nice neighborhood, easy access to the Trail, and a savings of about $30K, depending on the price of your home.
Build a house in Toledo? Now I've heard it all.
Average house listed for sale in the MLS in Area 023, Heatherdowns is a 3-bed, 2-bath, 1,621 square feet, at $115,958. That's $72 a sqft. Building costs are at $110 a sqft. Did I mention there are 302 houses in the area for sale? How about we concentrate on getting these 302 homes off the market before thinking about overspending on building a new house that will immediately depreciate.

The existing structure is old enough to have been built with a sub-level, a basement if you will. It flooded even without recent high level rains, storms and even before the city performed their magic with the storm water system. A drive through the area at 3am after a heavy rain will indicate all the basement lights on with us homeowners attending to the brilliant engineering job by the city. If your in the mold growing business it's perfect for development.
