MacQueen Apple Orchard Festival Oct 1, 2 2011

"Farm Market, Pick Your Own Apples and Fall Fun at MacQueen's Orchards"

http://www.macqueenorchards.com/

I know a couple people going as well as myself, thought I'd pass this along to other. This will be a nice warm up for the Oak Harbor and Grand Rapids Apple Butter festival coming up the following week.

I'm not a fan of cyanide, per Dr. Oz, but thanks anyway!

I kid, I kid...

Between this one and Grand Rapids next weekend, two of my favorites

iNeedCoffee, you're not got going to get into shape with apple cider and fritters! :)

McQueens is only a couple of miles from my house. I'll be there with the family for sure.

If you go down on Garden Rd a little further, there is a great outdoor market on the right that is a lot cheaper on the pumpkins and squash.

My second favorite festival in Ohio. Hope the weather is nice. MacQeens and GR are both great but nothing beats the Ohio Sauerkraut Festival in Waynesville OH. Cant wait to go with the family next weekend. If you've never been I highly recommend! Great food, Great crafts and great people.

I love kraut, my family has been making in stone crocks for as many generations as my grandfather knew.

Thanks AquaMan

JJFad, I think you mean arsenic, not cyanide, LOL.

I like the McQueen's festival, but if the weather is nice and you don't get there early, there's no parking anywhere near the orchard.

I'm taking the kids there tomorrow! We're really excited about it (me more than them I think!)

Someone with more diplomacy than I'll ever have ought to tell them to fix their website.

From MacQueen Orchards:

Infamous for our Apple Butter Stir Festival held every year on the first weekend of October...

Where infamous is defined as:

adjective
1. having an extremely bad reputation: an infamous city.
2. deserving of or causing an evil reputation; shamefully malign; detestable: an infamous deed.

A common error.

I like cider pretty well, hard being better than soft. Maybe I'll stop by and see if I can brighten their day a little.
