I've just had lunch at a place called "Good Morning Holland" on McCord Road in a little strip mall across from Strawberry Acres park. (Close to Angola/McCord north of Airport Hwy.) Between Angola and Airport Highway. This was our third visit. They are only open from 7:00am to 3:00pm. These are new owners. I challenge those of you who have the desire for Mexican food to report back and say that its as good as San Marcos. There's an extensive American menue as well. I can't say anything about the American selections. The Mexican choises are so unique, and good, that we just keep trying them. But I will tell you the Mexican is incredible. I had the special today, Molletes with chorizo. My partner had Chille Rellenos. Neither of us has ever had anything better, anywhere.

Holland- I concur! Wonderful food and very nice folks serving it.
As far as I'm aware, and I could be wrong, the owners are affiliated with and/or related to the owners of OK Patron... also a stellar food experience.
Here is a thread regarding OK Patron:

I cannot attest to the difference between either of these places and San Marcos as I have never been to San Marcos... one of those places on my "to do" list.
Anyway, I also endorse Good Morning Holland for breakfast and mexican/lunch options!!!!
They aren't affliated with the owners of OK Patron. They are the owners of OK Patron! Ads for Good Morning Holland are up in the men's room at OK Patron. I still want to try GMH, so thanks for the reminder and positive review.
Hmmmmm, I'm pondering on trying the place out now, especially since I live about five minutes away. I say pondering because I tend to stand clear of places that have changed names a few times in the same location, my slight phobia being that location being cursed somehow. :Op
We went to B-fast a few times always had problems getting coffee. Weekend at 9:00 and they never had coffee ready. Took 5+ minutes to get first cup and mediocre service never kept re-filling. The food was good. We might try it again sometime in the future . . . . but prefer filled cups in the am.
Lunch might be awesome, but I'm typically at work or drinking beer and watching football.
Yes, both places are the real deal - if you're a tex mex fan you may not like it. you wont find ground beef with taco seasoning covered with yellow cheese here - they explain the cheese with 'we cant find yellow milk!
The discounted restaurant deals keep coming. I'm in to saving as much money as I can... so wanted to pass along this deal too.

Today's Blade features a review of Good Morning Holland. They raved about the breakfast.

I went there wednesday morning for breakfast. Arrived at 7am. Posted hours stated an 8am opening. I had checked their facebook page the night before, which said 7am Tues-Sat.
Needless to say I was disappointed that my colleague and I had to go to Bob Evans instead. The Blade review adds insult to injury. Am excited to try it!
Just thought that I'd share some information. Groupon has a 50% off deal:
For $5, you get $10 worth of Mexican-American fare for breakfast and lunch on Sunday.
For $6, you get $12 worth of Mexican-American fare for breakfast and lunch Monday–Saturday.
