I feel bad that we hijacked OhioKimono's "I Want To Take Your Photo" topic with that sidebar discussion. So, I'm starting a handy dandy new topic here!

Sometimes there may be some info you want to exchange that you don't want to share publicly. (Ex - users exchanging contact info, etc.) Now you know how to do it!

I didn't even know it was there. I had a message from Aug 10th of last year!

"You are invited to a cordial get together this Wednesday at 6:30 at Mac & Tongs"

That's ok tm2 - if I recall correctly, the message feature came up in a topic we were both commenting in, so I sent a test.

I don't think at that point the notification came up on the main page alerting users that they had a message?
