I am very involved with my south Toledo community. I attend my monthly neighborhood meeting, as well as other areas of the Old South End. I was attending a neighborhood meeting which was supposed to be a debate by incumbet Mike Craig and opponent Shaun Enright. Mr. Enright did not show.
I received a phone call from Mr. Enright's campaign manger who said that Mr. Enright was not attending the debate or any south Toledo meeting because Mr. enright felt threatend for personal attacks on his character. I simply said that we wanted to be informed voters and know what his goals and plans were, eh responded and said that he didn't have to come.
My thoughts.... If we (as residents) cannot get a hold or ask him questions prior to voting as he's running for council, then how is he going to be as a concilman??
I don't always agree with everything that my current councilman, but he is always an email or phone call away, and if he does not know the answer, he finds out for us.
I was just amazed that Shaun Enright wouldn't answer my questions or come to our neighborhood meetings because he felt threated??????? WOW.
