The Starbucks at Westgate is now open. That lame store, of course, has a drive through. Time to start the count down clock for when the Beaner's at Cricket West closes its doors. I predict it goes out of business within a year. By March 1, 2008 the Cricket West Beaner's won't exist.
It's amazing what dolts Toledoans are. Lemmings, hypocrites. Toledoans will protest a Wal-Mart but praise a Starbucks when both are pretty much the same thing. Their product offerings differ, but their goals are the same. Starbucks's goal is to sterilize a community's coffee shop culture by killing all local, independently-owned coffee shops.
At least Beaner's is a regional chain and has been a Toledo fixture for many years after buying the Sufficient Grounds coffee shops.
