Hi, I went to Bears and Paws on Dorr street across from UT and they had really good wings. Also, they had the best onion rings that I thought were the best I had had since I was a kid. Now I want to know who has the best wings in town? What do you think? I prefer locally owned places.
Best Wings in Town?

I'm a big fan of Ralphie's wings, especially the hot ones. My family likes the sweeter sauces, but I think they are too heavy.
Frickers is usually pretty good but I have had some so-so dried up ones there in the last few months. Depends on the cook.
Frickers? I would prefer locally owned...but best wings is best wings. Next thing, what beer to go with them? I am thinking Miller Genuine Draft?

I usually go with the seasonal Leinenkugel or Shinner Bock, but I miss Trotters carrying the seasonal Bell's beer. I love Bell's Oberon Ale.
I am happy that Yuengling is FINALLY coming to Ohio. Now if we could just get Fat Tire I'd be a very happy man.
Another vote for Frickers, btw cute pic OhioKimono makes me miss Holland Huckleberry.

Ralphie's wings are too saucy. They (at least used to) server their wings in a bowl and the bottom of the wings are sitting in 1/2in of sauce
Swig is good and so is Sidelines, just over the line in Michigan.

Weren't the Frick brothers originally from Toledo? I always thought Frickers had some sort of local connection, even though they have operations in other cities as well.
mom2 I think you are correct

im not a fan of the big ones like frickers. there is a place on sterns/lewis that has some great garlic ones. but the name escapes me.
Fricker's main office in Perrysburg, Ohio. Best wings as of late came from Yeeha's, shockingly enough. I still enjoy the wings at Hooter's and Ralphies. I always take the wings out of the basket and put them in a second basket lined with paper towel because of the excessive sauce mentioned above.
Love the wings at Wing Station, corner of Secor and Sylvania.

The dad Owns Frickers, and his son Chris Frick was part owner of Jeds. Can't remember the dad's name but he used to come into the P-burg Jeds all the time to hang out with my dad and his friends.

Another vote for SWIG. Sensor - the Village Idiot in Maumee always has Bell's Oberon, as well as Two Hearted on tap.

I was just about to lurk and see if this topic had been started. With UFC137 tonight, I'm really craving wings right now. I do recall Ralphie's wings were legit. I had been to BW3's twice here and both times had been sick to the stomach. They've changed their wings to the worst since the ones I went to back in Cincy. Fricker's wings are big, true but like someone else mentioned, I'm not a fan of the wings being like that. I've been wondering about other places that might make good wings, such as pizza joints, ethnic restaurants and the like.
Acc'g to Big'z FB page they have UFC tonight and some pretty good wings (I prefer their chunks tho)
I read this thread last night and had to fight off a serious craving for good beer and wings. I like Frickers wings, but the beer selection leaves something to be desired.
BW3 wings are good.
I want all you posters excluding OKimono to drop and give it 25 push-ups and 25 sit-ups before proceeding any further.

Almost forgot about Mulvaney's Bunker for some good wings and decent beer selections. I'm going to say 1. Swig (best beer selection outside of Slow's in Detroit) 2. Bunker 3. Ralphie's (crap beer selection though).
I did my pushups too, Mariner. No situps for me.....
