Greedy UT is at it again....

I was looking forward to catching some UT basketball games on BCSN this year. Last year UT wouldn't allow BCSN to cover any of their games unless the covered all of the games and paid UT to cover them. Now after one game UT has once again decided not to allow BCSN cover any of the home games unless the pay a REDICULOUS amount of money. I mean who does UT think they are??? They are far from the elite basketball programs in the NCAA. The womens team last year had an incredible run and none of it was aired, because of UT decision... BIG MISTAKE!!!! I understand if they have a problem with airing live games because that could prevent people from coming to watch the games live and that may "POSSIBLY" put a dent in the ticket sales, but the games BCSN covers are usually on tape delay. Not airing the games only hurts the programs if you ask me.
1. It's a great recruiting tool for the coaches
2. Fans who can't attend games are missing out on watching their team.
3. Watching a rebroadcast of good game could convince fans to attend future games.
4. Helps attract new fans especially the younger crowd.
5. Since only BGSU games will be aired on BCSN, BG could take away potential fans from UT.

I've talked to coach Cullop last year and even she was dissapointed with UT not allowing the games to be aired and I'm sure coach Kowalczyk feels the same way.

I still wish the teams best of luck since it's not their fault, but shame on the admin staff for this poor decision. Looks like they need to be brought back down to earth and realize they are NOT Duke, UNC, Mich State, Kentucky, Ohio Stage, Michigan, etc....

Looks like I'll be following the Falcons this season on BCSN.
