TARTA Woes

My car died this past week, and the insurance company and Crystler are royally screwing me. Anyway rant done, I'm without a reliable way to work, and still owe over $9k on this POS. So I started looking up TARTA. The past couple months there have been some chatter about tarta with pro's and con's, so here is my view now that I'm trying to use it.

• The website offers no clear way of finding a route. When I lived in Houston, TX their bus line's site you could plug in your to and from and time, and it would give you all the routes you needed to take and at what times if you needed to take a transfer.

• $40 a month, not bad not great. They don't offer discounts for students. In Houston for $15 a month I could ride almost within a 70-80 mile radius for a month.

• There seems to be no routes where I live in Oregon right next to 280, and I'm 5-10minutes from downtown, yet there are routes for as far as Sylvania, Perrysburg, Maumee (richer areas). Closest I've found (think) is Star Ave.

• $0.10 transfer fee, in other cities transfers where free for a couple hours (meaning if you had to transfer on a couple buses one way you didn't have to worry)

On a side note, anyone know of any local lawyers who can work pro bono, to give some advice?
