Historic Old West End Festival 2010

Residents got copies of the program in with our newsletter last week.
This year's festival looks to be the best one since I've lived in Toledo.

HIGHLIGHTS:

-- There is going to be a 5K race going through the neighborhood with the Toledo Symphony serenading the runners at various spots along the route.

-- The is the first time I've seen a BEER TENT during festival. A lot of the residents know you can walk up to just about any porch and get a beer from a neighbor, but a lot of the visitors from the suburbs don't know that.

-- There is going to be a classic trolley (YAY) route through the neighborhood for visitors to use to get around.

-- Several streets will be closed down. The major route closed will be Scottwood from Bancroft to Delaware.

-- Food (and beer for that matter) will now be at The Arboretum which is located at Delaware and Scottwood--along with the food location at Woodruff. There will also be another entertainment stage. For the past few years everything seemed to be going on down at Woodruff (by the Glass Pavillion). Now there's more to go around to and visit.

You'll be able to pick up your copy of the program at any of the info booths this weekend.
