I just came back fro the Rock & Gem show. It was my first time attending this event, and I left very impressed. The variety of gems, jewelry, art, and information was pretty impressive. There were lots of live demonstrations, and very friendly people who were more then eager to help educate a total n00b like me.
Admission is $4, $3 for students and seniors, FREE for children under 12.
This was a really great education event to attend, and was family friendly. I really suggest stopping by.
Below are just some of the wonders I took photos of. I could not take photos of everything, because much of it was unique works of art that the artists did not want copied. The gems, and stones shown in beadwork and otherwise are all quiet real, even the diamonds.
