I quit driving on the turnpike several years ago in protest against never-ending increases and to the state not dropping all fees after the bonds were paid off. Also, the Ohio HP is so aggressive that it makes not getting pulled over on I-80 a roll of the dice. They'll stop you for just about anything or nothing. When I go to Chicago, I drive through Michigan. It's a prettier drive and I save about $35 in fees while adding only about 45 miles to the drive.
